Yu Iwasaki is a Tokyo-based filmmaker.
He directed "Proof of Family" (2019), a documentary about an Ethiopian asylum seeker in Tokyo,
which won the Audience Award at the Tokyo Documentary Film Festival and was selected for Nippon Connection.
His contemporary dance film “nai-mono-gatari” (2011) was screened at the DMJ International Dance Film Festival and internationally.
He has directed a variety of programs for NHK World Japan.
Born in Tokyo, he is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park, with a BA in English Literature.
会津若松生まれ、伊豆育ち。大学在学中に芝居を始める。
2018年に初の企画プロデュース・主演でイギリス演劇「エアスイミング」の日本初演を行う。
企画は東京都教育委員会のチャレンジ・アシスト・プログラムに選出され、クラウドファンディングでは200％の達成率を得た。
現在の活動は映像制作と編集、コラムニスト、出張料理やフードコーディネイトまで多岐に渡る。
マクロビオティックマイスター資格所持。
上智大学英語学科卒。鎌倉在住。
Megumi Sekine is an Actor / Video creator / Columnist / Macrobiotic master living in Kamakura.
She started a career as an actor while she was a student of faculty of English studies at SOPHIA university.
She produced and starred in a famous British play "Airswimming" by Charlotte Jones in 2018 supported by a crowdfunding and a grant from Tokyo Metropolitan board of Education.
Currently she has earnestly expanded her activities into video creation, writing serial columns for web magazines and food coordination for films.
